On the 8 - 10th July 2019, NTU is running a 3 day designing with e-textiles course. The Tutor for the course will be Sarah Walker, a PhD researcher and university lecturer at Nottingham Trent University. Sarah is an expert in textile design, e-textile design, and innovation management and has also run many smart textile workshops.

To show off our newest range of veneered MDF materials, we’ve created this adjustable laser cut drawing board. We love all your designs submitted to our gallery, but great ideas have to start somewhere.

Isaac shows you how he designed and made a ZIP Tile for microbit bike light. The light features adjustable brightness and works as a brake light using the microbit's accelerometer. It is constructed from laser cut Perspex. As always, you can download Isaac's DXF file and take it straight to the laser cutter.

All Roads Lead To Rome Maker Faire 2018. We headed to Rome this weekend for the Rome Maker Fair 2018. But first, we need to build a new track. Check it out!

Banish those winter blues with a Desk Lamp fashioned from our 5V Mini LED Lamp Module. The image below shows the two lamp designs developed by Matt Moeser to accompany this product. Additionally, one design needed to be laser-cut and the other 3D printed.

This weekend Kitronik attended their first All London Raspberry Pi Jam at the Flatiron School. Kitronik's Ben Gray, loaded down with a delicious selection of Kitronik goodies, headed south in pursuit of knowledge and great company.

Now the nights are drawing it's time to get your bikes ready for the low light conditions ahead.  There is no better way to do that to use something you've made yourself! We've added some great new products to the range recently that we can't wait to tell you about! So many in fact that this is a selection rather than the full list, so we avoid a TL;DR situation.

In the spirit of the original mission statement, the microbit goes to rural India for a series of workshops. The workshops were run by Timeless Lifeskills and delivered to children who would not have got the opportunity otherwise.

It's been quite a while since we last shared any new product news via a blog post. We've been so busy of late that we haven't done much to bring new additions to our range to your attention. The lure of attending shows and events has been too great, we love getting out and about and meeting as many people as possible!
